Founder, Designer and creator Elsa Nilert is inspired by many things, but most importantly the natural world. She grew up in Sweden, surrounded by forests and islands, and lived elsewhere in Europe and Latin America. All contribute to Elsa’s love of nature, art, antiques, and mid-century design and inspire the unique eclectic richness of her interiors. Her designs combine Scandinavian simplicity and functionality with organic colors, textures and biomorphic shapes.
Elsa was fortunate to have grown up with visual and cultural richness and was inspired and encouraged by her two avant garde Interior Designer grandmothers, with roots in Sweden and NYC. Elsa broadened her design vocabulary at Skidmore College, Saratoga, New York, where she received a BS in Studio Art with a dual concentration in Communication Design and Photography (juried award winner) going on to complete the Interior Design Program at Parsons, The New School in Manhattan, New York.
